New Rate Increases

Notice of Rate Increase:
A utility rate increase will go into effect with the June 2021 utility bills. East Columbia Water District completed a rate study with Louisiana Rural Water Association in 2018 prior to the construction of our new Water Treatment Improvement Project to calculate increases needed to keep up with the costs of the new plant. We are committed to managing costs in the most efficient and sustainable way while maintaining our commitment to our customers to provide the best quality water possible.
The Water Treatment Improvement Project included the following:
- Two (2) new wells & a new water treatment plant in Riverton, LA
- Replacement of 4” water main with 6” water main from Crockett Road to Hwy 559
The new rates are as follows:
